Are you struggling to manage low blood sugar from   
type 1 diabetes?   
If so, you may be interested in joining the CATT1 study.

Participants must be within a certain age range.

Participants must have experienced low blood sugar episodes (\<54 mg/dl) within the last 2 months.

We are studying a new treatment for people with Type 1 Diabetes. Our goal is to help people manage their blood sugar levels better without increasing the risk of low blood sugar or a serious condition called ketoacidosis.

Participants will be divided into three groups. One group will take the new treatment once a day with a placebo. Another group will take the new treatment twice a day. The third group will take a placebo twice a day. A placebo is a pill that does not contain any medicine. This helps us compare the effects of the new treatment.

CATT1 study - Evaluating add-on therapy for Type 1 Diabetes with low blood sugar episodes

The CATT1 study will look at whether the study drug, cadisegliatin (also called TTP399), can reduce the frequency of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in adults with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM).
The study drug is a tablet taken by mouth. It is designed to stimulate the liver and improve the liver’s ability to store sugar from food, which may reduce episodes of high or low blood sugar.

Do you have heart disease or are you at risk?

This study is testing new ways to prevent heart problems. 

We are looking at two different ways to take care of people: one based on risk factors and the other based on the stage of heart disease.

You will be reimbursed $120.00 for your time and travel costs to complete a CT scan and another at 24 months and $20.00 for completing study activities at 3, 6, 12 months and every 6 months thereafter. 

The approach being studied could potentially improve the care of patients who are at risk for cardiovascular events.

Heart disease includes conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, prediabetes, and metabolic syndrome. Symptoms can vary but may include chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue.

Comparing Heart Disease Care Approaches: Focusing on Risk Factors vs. Disease Stages for Preventing Heart Problems Study

This trial aims to improve the way we identify and treat people who are at a higher risk of heart-related issues, even if they don't show any symptoms. We will use a special type of heart scan (CCTA) to get a detailed picture of the heart's arteries. We will then use a system called the Cleerly CAD Staging System to personalize the treatment. We believe this method could be more effective in preventing heart events and slowing down the progression of certain types of heart disease compared to the current method which is based on risk factors.

This study is testing a new medication, ABX464, to see if it can help people with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis who haven't had success with other treatments. Participants will take either a low or high dose of the medication or a placebo (a pill with no active ingredient) once a day. The goal is to find out if ABX464 can help reduce symptoms and is safe to use.

This trial is testing a new potential treatment for people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. We want to see if it's safe, tolerable, and can help with memory and cognition problems.

By joining this trial you may help improve our understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease to benefit patients in the future. There is also potential for improvement in cognitive Alzheimer’s Disease symptoms while taking the new potential treatment. Things like your travel to the site will be paid for, and we can even organise this for you. You'll also have access to close medical monitoring and a team that really care.

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects the brain. It leads to cognitive decline, memory loss, and emotional changes, impacting on the indidivdual as well as family and caregivers.

Have cognition and memory issues due to Alzheimer's disease.

This trial is all about finding out if a daily pill  can help people with Alzheimer's disease. We want to see if this pill is safe, if people can tolerate it well, and if it actually works to improve the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.

This study will last for 36 weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive the treatment, and the other group will receive a placebo, which looks like the treatment but has no active ingredients. Neither the participants nor the researchers will know who is receiving the treatment or the placebo until the study is over. This helps us get clear and unbiased results.
